"Hey, everyone! This is Jenneka from J&J Property Pros, and this year, we have the special privilege of being part of the ECHO Means Business 2023 User Advisory Group. Today, I'd like to share some tips for creating festive holiday planters for the holiday season.
First things first, you want to ensure that your soil is moist. This helps all the lovely greenery and items you're going to put in to stick in there properly. The dampness prevents things from flopping around, especially in winter winds. Now, let's dive into the steps.
Step one involves starting with a base of greenery. In this case, we've been able to forage from the property, including juniper, white pine, Norway spruce, and more. It's essential to build a layered structure, with taller heights in the back and cascading elements for visual interest.
Next, we add different textures and heights using items like juniper berries, Magnolia, and red twig dogwood. The soil plays a crucial role in securing these elements and preventing them from being blown away. For the center focal point, we use red twig dogwood, creating a visually striking centerpiece.
We introduce winter berry for extra color and depth, along with dried hydrangea for texture. Don't forget to fill in any empty spaces with additional greenery to achieve a full and balanced look. Magnolia, ordered in this case, adds a festive touch, and you can play around with various elements like birch or other decorations.
The final result is a beautifully crafted winter pot, perfect for the holiday season. While foraging is extra fun, there are plenty of options available online or at your local store. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial, and we look forward to seeing you next time!"
