First Impressions of the HC-2420 Hedge Trimmer
June 7, 2019
Hey guys, what’s up? Today I’m giving my first impressions of the ECHO X-Series HC-2420 hedge trimmer.
First impressions is that the 2420 is a beast, but the weight surprised me - this thing is very, very light. Now, on to some thoughts.
So, what’s my takeaway on the HC-2420 hedge trimmer when in use?
Pros:
-
Really easy to handle because of the weight
-
It’s lighter than my STIHL HS 45, even though the ECHO is bigger
-
It’s got a lot of power (though the shears are going to be sharp straight out the box)
-
There’s a handle that swivels, which is great for sideway trimming
Cons:
-
The exhaust is right by me (I’m right-handed), so I wish they could have put on the other side (in fairness, my STIHL is like that too)
-
The black guard on the shears is going to take some time to get used to
I hope this video helps, guys, and let me know if you’ve tried the ECHO HC-2420 and, if so, what’s your take?
