4-step demonstration of the winterization process
During the winter months, not all of your equipment is going to be used as frequently as in the summer. It’s important that you take the time to winterize this equipment.
Winterizing helps to keep your tools in good condition while they’re not being used. Today I want to share with you the four steps I take to winterize my equipment.
All you need is some fuel, some 2-cycle engine oil, and some fuel stabilizer. Pro tip: Try using non-ethanol fuel, which repels moisture.
You’ll want to mix both the 2-cycle oil and the fuel stabilizer into the fuel, then use that new mixture to top off your 2-cycle equipment tank. Make sure your tank is either a quarter full or empty before adding in the new mixture.
The final step is to run your equipment for 5 minutes. Then you’re done!
