Today I want to talk about a new trimmer, a battery-operated trimmer that I got. It's the ECHO DPAS 2600. This is ECHO's battery-operated PAS line. As you can see, I did modify it a little bit by putting on the Darwin's grip and the Green Touch trailer rack brackets to keep it on my trailer. Normally, I don't keep the battery attached to the trimmer head itself, but the one I have is the ECHO eForce 56V 5 amp battery. I find it works pretty well.

I did two commercial properties and a residential property, and it's only used half of the battery life. So, we'll put this in here, lock it in place, take it out of the rack, and I'll show you a couple of things that I like. One right out of the gate, you have no power; you have to hit the power button switch and hold onto it like this. I like this Grilla grip handle because it makes it more ergonomically safe for me, being a taller guy.

So anyways, you hit the power button. Here's low speed, there's high speed, go back to low speed, go back to high speed. That's what we got. Another cool feature with the Pas system is the fact that you can put different attachments onto this power head. You loosen the lock bolt, pull out the little tab, and it pulls straight out. Then you put on your additional attachment, whether it be the broom brush, the stick edger, the blower, or even a little mini chainsaw. I believe there are like 16 different options that you can operate this machine on. You just put it back in, tighten the nut back up, and then you're good to go.

Another key feature with this thing is this little safety switch. You can't just pull the power trigger and have it run; that's a cool little safety feature. You actually have to press down on this and do that. Another cool thing about this is you can feather the throttle. If I only want to go light, I could go light; if I want to go fast, I go fast, and so forth.

Again, this is the DPAS 2600 brushless ECHO power trimmer head. It's a commercial-grade or homeowner-grade model. They say it's equivalent to the ECHO 2620 gas power head, which I have not used, so I don't have anything to compare it to. My main trimmer is the Stihl FS94R, and since I've gotten this and tested it, I find myself using this more. This is great for bigger properties, while the DPS 2600 is great for smaller to medium-sized properties. I can use this pretty much all day on two batteries and have more than enough power.

So again, this is the DPAS 2600 brushless ECHO power head battery trimmer. If you don't have any of these Green Touch trimmer racks, these things are great. They have a lock, so you can lock them up. Another cool thing is these Darwin's grips. I have three different versions here and even a fourth one at home. Being a tall guy, I like to use those so I'm not hunched over all day long. Okay, that's all I got for you.
